The Halifax Batteries defeated the Levis Fourches, 6-3, in Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action at Batteries Field. Halifax pitcher José Aguirre had a standout performance. Aguirre got the win, improving to 6-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Halifax raised its record to 21-18 with the win.

There were several reasons the Batteries beat the Fourches, but one factor was Doroteo López. In the bottom of the fourth, the Halifax shortstop came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.

"José was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Halifax manager John Hatfield.
