Levis pitcher Alberto Cortés had a large part in his team beating the Halifax Batteries, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Levis reliever Rodrigo Fernández snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Aguirre shouldered the loss. Levis is now 12-15.

Foster Merritt was the walk-off hero for Levis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fourches designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Levis manager Stephen Glover was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
