Calgary's Kubel PacificL #1 Batter in June Thursday, July 1st , 2004 When Jason Kubel stepped up to the plate in June he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Pacific Batter of the Month award. The young Calgary left fielder posted a .435 batting average with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 25 runs. Kubel also worked pitchers for 14 walks to post a .505 on-base percentage. Thus far this year, Kubel is batting .329 with 11 home runs, 39 RBIs and 59 runs scored. |
