Beavers Sandoval Named PacificL's #1 Player
Monday, July 20th , 2009
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Pacific, but last week Luis Sandoval of the Portland Beavers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Sandoval rocked opposing pitching for a .467 average (7-for-15), 1 home run and 5 RBIs to come away with the award.
This season, Sandoval is batting .295 with 78 hits, 8 home runs, 51 RBIs, .385 OBP and has scored 38 runs.
