Canate Punishes SL2 Pitchers This Week Monday, September 2nd , 1991 Willie Canate went on a week-long hitting streak against Sub League 2 pitchers and captured the Player of the Week honors. The Corpus Christi left fielder battered the opposition for 8 hits, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. He hit .615 and posted a .706 on-base percentage. To date this year Canate is batting .237 with 5 home runs. |
