Air Riders Blank Jayhawks, Marquez Wins Friday, August 16th , 1991 John Marquez of the Terrebonne Air Riders shut down the Yonkers Jayhawks 2-0 on a 3-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 8 strikeouts and allowing 3 walks. After the game Marquez said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count." |
