Murphy Out of Playoff Race Saturday, August 24th , 1991 There might have been some flickers of hopes of a playoff berth at some point during the season, but those flickers have been snuffed out. The Murphy Bears were officially eliminated from playoff contention today. This is the 2nd time in a row that the Bears have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 1989. |
