Brian Kowitz took MLB Class A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 21.
For his spectacular campaign, the Madison Crush star has been named the 1991 Sub League 2 Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the center fielder.
On the season he compiled a .284 batting average to go with a .375 on-base percentage. The native of Baltimore, Maryland also added 30 doubles, 7 triples, 25 home runs, 75 RBIs and 87 runs scored.
He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 26. Blake Babki of the Madison Crush finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Paul Gonzalez of the Hermon Jet Hawks finished third with 4 first place votes.
