Newark's Matthew Rouleau Named Top SL2 Manager Sunday, October 20th , 1991 The Newark Patriots had an outstanding season, much of it due to their astute and gifted skipper. For his managerial excellence, Matthew Rouleau reaped the reward of being voted Sub League 2 Manager of the Year. "A manager is only as good as the players he's managing," Rouleau told reporters. "If I didn't have the talent to work with, making all the right moves wouldn't have helped a bit." Under Rouleau the Patriots finished first in the Sub League 2 East Division with a record of 83-61. |
