The Houston Astros faced a tough opponent in Pittsburgh pitcher Andres Felix, but did just enough to pull out the victory at PNC Park by a final score of 4-3. Felix went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Houston reliever Chad Bradford picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Brett Black was saddled with the loss. Hirose Matsuda nailed down his 4th save.

Mike Young came through with a big-time hit for Houston. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Young.

The loss drops the Pirates to 10-12.
