Thursday, July 1st , 1915
The San Francisco Spots met their match today in Los Angeles hurler Carl Cooper. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout.

"He just worked us over," San Francisco skipper Marion Bevan said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat."

In the 3-0 victory, Cooper whiffed 3 and gave up 2 walks.

This season, Cooper has compiled a 11-12 record with a 2.81 ERA.
