Pease Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Whittaker Wednesday, May 1st , 1918 It wasn't easy but Earl Pease made it look that way. Pease silenced the Whittaker Bulldogs, 2-0, in a St Jubilee Stags triumph at Sanctuary Field. Despite the appearance of dominance, Pease said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." In 15 starts this season, Pease has recorded a 6-6 record and a 1.52 ERA. View Game Log |
