Hit Parade: Remington Pops 5 Hits
Thursday, March 30th , 1916
5 times is the charm -- at least for Diego Remington.
The Santa Ana College Mad Dogs first baseman tore up the Louisiana State Lions to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Green Knights Park. The offensive onslaught from Remington powered the 4-3 Mad Dogs win.
"Remington was a tough out," Louisiana State manager Johnny Andrews said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Diego Remington hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In 28 games this season, Remington is batting .343 with 37 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 9 runs and driven in 20.
