Santa Ana College Starter Named SL2's Best Pitcher Saturday, May 1st , 1915 April's #1 hurler was Martin Riding of Santa Ana College. He gunned down Conference 2 hitters the whole month and claimed the Pitcher of the Month award. The Mad Dogs star piled up 7 wins and 1 loss to take the honor. The 21-year-old Riding added 34 strikeouts in 75.1 innings and 22 walks to his season record and compiled a 0.72 ERA. Other clubs hit .178 against him. So far this season, Riding has 12 wins and 4 losses and a 1.77 ERA. |
