Palmer Hurls 1-0 Shutout
Wednesday, July 3rd , 1912
In a remarkable performance, Salem Stormbreakers starter Tracy Palmer beat the Wilmington Arsenal 1-0 in an impressive 5-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Stormbreakers hurler finished with 6 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," Wilmington manager Lloyd Fordyce said following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

This year Palmer has fanned 75 in 164.2 innings and collected a 11-4 record with a 2.51 ERA.
