Lakers Move on to League Championship Series

After their 1-0 win today at Wingnuts Field over the Poplar Bluff Howlers, the Duluth Lakers will advance to the League Championship Series. Duluth won the series by a 3-2 margin.
Leading the way for the Lakers was reliever Austin Cronshey, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."
The Duluth Lakers will play against the Wilmington Arsenal in the next round. Wilmington won their series against the Jersey City Chicks 3 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.

Arsenal Win Division Series

Owen Brown said he expected the Division Series to be "a battle from start to finish."
In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Wilmington Arsenal encountered little resistance in sweeping the Jersey City Chicks, to advance to the League Championship Series.
"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Brown.
Wilmington won the final game by a 4-2 count and were led in the series by Brown, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .333 with 0 home runs. He also drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Wilmington Arsenal don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Duluth Lakers - Poplar Bluff Howlers series. Duluth leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
