Woodpeckers Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, August 10th , 1916 The bid by the Wauseon Woodpeckers for a postseason berth came to a close today. The club has been mathematically eliminated from the 1916 playoffs, and team manager Walter Addison said players on the team "are taking it hard." In their 11 seasons in Reserve League, the Woodpeckers have still yet to qualify for the playoffs. |
