Leroy Atkinson Winner in RLBL East Wednesday, August 1st , 1917 For a rookie just breaking in, Leroy Atkinson certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the SL1 Batter of the Month award for July. The 24-year-old left fielder for the Jersey City Chicks hit .385 with no home runs, 15 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This year, Atkinson is batting .272 with no home runs and 27 RBIs. |
