Mainwaring and Riding Brawl, League Suspends Them

John Mainwaring of the Gettysburg Union and Martin Riding of the Akron Blues received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 5 and 10 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at West Athens Stadium.
This year, Mainwaring has hit at a .222 clip with 32 hits, 1 home run, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
For the season, Riding has made 10 relief appearances, recorded 4 saves, compiled a 11-4 won-lost mark and a 2.09 ERA. In pitching 124.2 innings, he has totaled 52 strikeouts and 28 walks.
