Blues Won't Get Playoff Berth Friday, May 10th , 1918 Coming close doesn't make missing the playoffs easier for the Oregon Academy Blues. Club manager Walter Haxby said it's a "tough pill to swallow" as the club has now been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1915. In total, the Blues have missed the playoffs 10 times in their 17-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Blues have made the playoffs 5 times. Oregon Academy last won the Academy League Championship Series in 1911. |
