Season Over for Crippin Thursday, May 9th , 1918 Lewis Crippin had to wait several agonizing days to find out his diagnosis after suffering a torn flexor tendon in his elbow on 05/07/1918. Today he received word from the Oregon Academy doctor that he would be out the rest of the year. Team officials called it a huge setback but something they would have to overcome. In 14 starts this year, Crippin has fashioned a 5-5 record and a 3.73 ERA. |
