Whites Won't Get Playoff Berth Saturday, May 12th , 1917 The Desert West Academy Whites have missed out on securing a berth in the Legacy Baseball Academy League playoffs. It's a "tough way to close out the season," according to closer Burdette Runciman. This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1915. In total, the Whites have missed the playoffs 13 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Whites have made the playoffs 2 times. Desert West Academy has won the Academy League Championship Series 2 times in their history. |
