Togwell Magnificent in 5-0 New England Academy Triumph Wednesday, April 25th , 1917 Clark Togwell pitched a strong game at Academy Ballpark of Augusta, blanking the Gulf Academy Blues, 5-0. Togwell allowed no runs on 3 hits, totaled 3 strikeouts and gave up no walks. New England Academy manager Matthew Jakubowski said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Togwell.
