Sheraton Stands Out in Texas Academy Shutout
Monday, April 16th , 1917
Domenic Sheraton kept the Great Plains Academy Blues hitters off balance all game long, as the Texas Academy Reds pitcher blanked the Blues, 2-0.
Sheraton gave up 3 hits, struck out 5, and walked 3. In the postgame press conference, the right-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length.
"It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it."
Looking at his season stats, Sheraton has won 4 and lost 7, collecting 46 strikeouts and 21 walks in 85 innings with a 2.01 ERA.
