Couch Dominates Blacks in 3-0 Shutout

In an excellent mound performance, Charles Couch of the Mid-Atlantic Academy Reds blanked the New York Academy Blacks, 3-0, on a 6-hitter.
"I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game.
In all, the Mid-Atlantic Academy hurler rang up 5 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win.
"We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Blacks manager Emery Williams. "Couch did a good job keeping us guessing."
This year, Couch has fashioned a 1-3 mark, 2.15 ERA and pitched 46 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .253 against him and he has logged 19 strikeouts.
