Colcheeper Throws 7-0 Shutout Wednesday, March 28th , 1917 William Colcheeper bent a little, but he didn't break against the Texas Academy Reds. The Heartland Academy Blacks pitcher hurled a 7-hit, 7-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 3 strikeouts. "William is good at getting out of jams," Blacks manager Albert King told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." Up to now Colcheeper has recorded a record of 3-1.
