Oregon Academy Star, Academy Pitcher Award Winner Saturday, June 12th , 1915 Robert Outhwaite of the Oregon Academy Blues was on cloud nine during the 1915 season, mystifying most of the hitters he faced, then capping it off with the Conference 1 Academy Pitcher Award. Outhwaite was spectacular in 15 starting assignments with 9 wins and 4 losses, 113 innings, 51 strikeouts and a fine 1.35 ERA. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 16. Miguel Jeeves of the Desert West Academy Whites finished second in voting, while Stephen Williamson of the Pacific Academy Whites finished third with 3 first place votes.
