Saturday, August 28th , 1915
The Pittsburgh Rollers appear confident and poised as they head off to the Negro League Cup Series, after eliminating the New York Black Kings by a series score of 3-1 in the Championship Cup Series.
"Things are clicking, it feels like this could be our year," said Pittsburgh pitcher Harrison Robinson, who was named series MVP. "You hate to use the word destiny, but it feels special."
The Rollers won the final game by a 8-3 count at The Race Track to wrap up the series.
For the series, Robinson had a 2.25 ERA over 16 innings pitched. He added 7 strikeouts with a 2-0 record.
The Pittsburgh Rollers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Savannah Goobers - Atlanta Foxes series. Savannah leads the series 2 games to 1. The Negro League Cup Series schedule will be announced after the Championship Cup Series finishes.
