Nelson Whips Richmond, 2-0 Tuesday, July 27th , 1915 John Nelson of the Kansas City Stars toyed with the Richmond Black Rifles, as he shut them out, 2-0, at Stars Stadium. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 5-hitter with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Nelson said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." Nelson has made 16 starts this season, posting 7 wins and 8 losses.
