GSL Player of the Week Selected Monday, July 19th , 1915 A battle-tested George Gill declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old Savannah first baseman collected the Great Southern Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .500 average, 8 hits in 16 at-bats, no home runs, 1 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Currently Gill is hitting .362 and has collected 1 home run, 28 RBIs and scored 34 times, while playing in 85 games. |
