Richardson Dominates Chattanooga Friday, July 9th , 1915 Don Richardson was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Savannah Goobers hurler tossed a 1-hit, complete game shutout against the Chattanooga Nickajacks. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Richardson. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Richardson walked 2 and struck out 9 in the 2-0 victory.
