Season Ends for Burke Sunday, June 17th , 1917 The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the Saint Louis Canaries: shortstop Pap Burke is out for the year. Burke suffered a broken kneecap on 06/15/1917. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official. This year, Burke is batting .333 with no home runs. |
