Pointer Shuts Out Black Kings, 4-0

Charlie Pointer of the Philadelphia Keystones permitted 6 hits, walked 1, and fanned 7 during his team's 4-0 shutout win over the New York Black Kings at Keystones Park.
"I told him, 'You did good today,'" said Philadelphia manager Mark Holland. "And I told him he'd better do good again next week."
In 26 starts this season, Pointer has gathered 9 wins while suffering 12 losses. He has pitched 211 innings, allowed 200 hits, struck out 103 and has a 2.94 ERA.
