Pitcher Smith Named GSL Player of the Week Monday, June 14th , 1915 The Great Southern Player of the Week has been chosen. This week the honor went to Wesley Smith of the Atlanta Foxes in reward for his outstanding mound performance. He spun 3 wins, tossed 17 innings in 2 starts, yielded 13 hits, walked 6, struck out 8 and put up a 1.59 ERA. The Foxes hurler suffered no losses. In 15 starts this year, Smith has fashioned a 14-1 record and a 2.69 ERA. |
