Angels Come Back Late to Top Rifles, 8-5
Providence first baseman Jean Harle had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Richmond Rifles, 8-5. Providence pitcher Phil Beer got the win, upping his record to 8-7. Garrett Dixon got the loss. Dean Paddock picked up the save, his 3rd.

One of the clutch hits for Providence came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the eighth with one out, Aurelio Clegg, who is tied for 5th in the EL in total bases with 67, hit a run-scoring single to put the Angels up, 6-5. For the game, the second baseman went 3 for 5 with 3 singles.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Harle told the Providence News.

The Angels improved to 19-25.
