Brewers Walk Off with 3-2 Win
The Philadelphia Brewers got a stellar performance from pitcher Mearl Sexton, who handcuffed the Baltimore offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Boeselager Stadium. The Brewers, now 16-11, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

The decisive blow was delivered by Earnest Rowe in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 31-year old left-handed pitcher Harry Mitchell to win the game for Philadelphia. The home crowd went nuts.

"We saved our best for last," said Sexton.
