The Philadelphia Brewers beat the Baltimore Clippers, 6-5, in part because of right fielder Isidore Howse. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The loss has the Clippers at 8-4.

With Philadelphia trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Howse hit a fastball from Marco Haimes for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 6-3.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Howse told a Philadelphia Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
