The Pittsburgh Rollers got a strong game from starter Vic West, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Rollers took the 4-3 win over the Savannah Goobers in Game 2 of the Negro League Cup Series in a 10th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed West. West threw 9.0 innings allowing 3 runs in the win, which brought the Rollers into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-9 series.

The clutch hit was provided by Lanky Spencer. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off John Kincannon in the bottom of the tenth.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Johnny Grant.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Race Track in Pittsburgh.
