Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Sawyers, 4-0
|
The Seattle Sawyers got an exceptional performance from starter Rosario Allen, who silenced the Los Angeles offense en route to a 4-0 shutout win in Game 5 of the Pacific Championship today. The Lions could never get a bead on the right-handed Allen, who threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. The Sawyers now hold a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-9 series.
Allen was in the zone all game. He frustrated Los Angeles hitters while giving the Sawyers 9 innings of quality work. Allen threw 107 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 4 punchouts.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Allen said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sawyers Grounds in Seattle.
