Championship Cup Series Game 1 Victory for McNeil and Pittsburgh
The Championship Cup Series got off to a quiet start today, with the host Pittsburgh Rollers taking a low-scoring 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Keystones. Pittsburgh right-hander Bill McNeil was marvelous at The Race Track. The Rollers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

The Keystones had little chance against McNeil, who overpowered Philadelphia hitters and struck out 14.

"We lost," Philadelphia manager William Bleach said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Race Track in Pittsburgh.
