Sawyers Win Squeaker, 6-5, Over Rosebuds
The Seattle Sawyers wiggled past the Portland Rosebuds, 6-5, in 11 innings at Sawyers Grounds. The win was highlighted by the performance of Seattle pitcher Joseph Matthews. Seattle is now 35-45, while Portland is 34-46.

Seattle got a knockout punch from John Skepper. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This game was intense," Skepper said, postgame.
