Sawyers Handed 3-1 Loss by Tacoma

Larks Field was the site of a competitive game between the Seattle Sawyers and Tacoma Larks.
The Tacoma Larks banked on Joseph Robinson and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the Seattle hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, Larks. Henry Day was credited with the save, his 2nd in 2 tries.
Harlan Sluggett, who is tied for 8th in the CBL with a .357 slugging percentage, helped out the Tacoma cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Robinson.
Tacoma improves to 58-22 with the win. They lead their division by 18½ games.
