The Tacoma Larks had to overcome a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Rosario Allen to win, 3-2, at Larks Field. Allen went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. Reginald Dainty, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. The slumping Sawyers have lost 7 straight.
Moses Snape, who is tied for 6th in the CBL in home runs with 1, aided the Tacoma cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Snape. "And not try to do too much."
