The Portland Rosebuds locked up a win at Spokane Grounds, knocking off the Spokane Suns, 9-3. On the mound for Portland was right-hander Percy Sibley. He played a major role in the triumph. Sibley picked up the win for Portland, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 10 hits. He now sports a record of 5-10. The win puts Portland at 23-40.

Portland used a well-timed hit by James Bamforth to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rosebuds ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Sibley.
