The home crowd had a good time watching the Portland Rosebuds and Seattle Sawyers get after it.

The Seattle Sawyers got a good effort from starter John Shaw in defeating the Portland Rosebuds at Sawyers Grounds. The final score was 4-2. Shaw went the distance for Seattle. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits.

The Sawyers got a big hit from left fielder Carl Attersol. In the bottom of the sixth, Attersol pounded a solo home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season put the Sawyers ahead, 4-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Attersol said after the game.

The Sawyers raised their record to 5-3.
