Los Angeles Tops Sacramento, 3-1
|
The Los Angeles Lions got a magnificent effort from pitcher Alfonso Hall, who kept Sacramento hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Lions win at Miners Park. The winning pitcher was Hall, now 19-12. He tossed 9 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. The Lions have now won 4 straight.
Thaddeus Coxall, who finished 2nd in the CPL in triples with 8 in 1910, had a direct impact on the outcome. Coxall contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Los Angeles up, 3-0.
Afterward, Sacramento manager Simon Howson said: "We've hit a rough patch."
