The Oakland Ducks scooped up a win at Ducks Ballpark, dumping the Los Angeles Lions, 4-0. James Reeves, who is tied for 4th in the CPL with a 4.7 K/9 rate, was essential to his team's success. The Ducks improved to 52-54.
Reeves, the Oakland right-hander, went 8.2 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. He collected 6 strikeouts.
"It's a mindset," said Reeves. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
