Ducks Down Spots, 5-4
The San Francisco Spots got a superb performance from pitcher Estel Attrill, but the Oakland Ducks still won the game, 5-4. Attrill threw 7.1 innings allowing 4 runs. Arthur Taylor earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. Oakland is second in the Californian Professional League with a record of 51-54.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Cyril Clarke came to bat in the top of the 15th. Facing San Francisco pitcher Bennie Hardesty, he hit a 1-0 screwball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Oakland on top, 5-4.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said San Francisco manager Marion Bevan.
