Tight Tilt Goes to Lions, 2-1
The Los Angeles Lions got a magnificent performance from pitcher Alfonso Hall, who stifled the San Francisco offense en route to a 2-1 Lions win at Lions Park. Hall got the win, improving to 8-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 5 over 9 innings. Hall allowed 1 run. Los Angeles occupies third place in the Californian Professional League at 34-34.

The Lions got a big boost from shortstop Ellsworth Fearon who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning off Spots hurler James Truman. It was his 19th RBI of the season and put Los Angeles on top, 2-1.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Fearon.
