Spots Suffer 7-3 Loss to Sacramento
|
The Sacramento Miners finished off the San Francisco Spots, 7-3. Much of the credit belonged to third baseman Bernard Brooks. Brooks was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Miners. Charles Winslett notched his 8th save in 10 chances. The Sacramento winning streak has reached 3 games.
In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, Brooks came to the plate. He drew a walk, driving in 1 run off James Truman to put the Miners in the lead, 1-0.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Brooks told the Sacramento Times.
